Anna B. Destafney of Oxford
Anna B. Destafney, 94, formerly of Avondale, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Ware Presbyterian Village. She was the wife of the late Franklin C. Destafney Sr. who died in 2006 and with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Hockessin, Del., she was a daughter of the late Fred A. Bye and Florence Ford Bye. Anna was a 1936 graduate of Kennett High School. She was a member of the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church. She loved sewing, crocheting, flower gardening, cooking and canning, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially family cookouts. Survivors include one son, Franklin C. Destafney Jr. and his wife Bonny of West Chester; two daughters, Carole Harper and her husband George of Kennett Square and Marie Dunn and her husband Jerry of West Grove; a son-in-law, Steve Hollis of West Grove; one brother, William Bye of Avondale; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine Hollis in 2007. You are invited to visit with Anna's family from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-869-2685), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Longwood Cemetery.
